I am a photographer based in Hartford County, Connecticut.
I focus and specialize in Documentary Weddings and Lifestyle Portraiture. I love to interact with people. That is why I am very good at capturing the biggest as well as the smallest moments, which happen during the wedding day or while photographing families in their surroundings.
Not only are the photographs I will create for you important, the most important to me is you. Yes, you, my clients, people who believe in my vision and trust my skills. If my clients ever have concerns or questions, I will be always for them. Customer Care is very important to me. I treat all my clients like Royalty.
I am a perfectionist and always strive to deliver the best images. I pay attention to the background, composition, and direction of light. Simply, Photography is my passion and I do this with pride and heart. I know how to use natural light, but after sunset or in dark indoor venues I setup my portable, battery operated lights and create high quality images.
I describe my style as Documentary-Romantic Photojournalism with a touch of Modern. My photographs are not only images - they tell a story. I focus on human emotion and observe people’s reactions in the moments that are happening around me. I have experience photographing a diverse array of weddings from couples who practice many different faith and community traditions, and I enjoy capturing those wonderful, romantic moments of brides and grooms from around the world as well as right here in Connecticut.
I do everything to get the perfect shot. I climb the tree or lie down flat in the dirt. Last year I tripped while taking creative portraits of the Bride and Groom, broke my 2 fingers, finished photographing their wedding at midnight and started my next wedding early in the morning of the following day, not even thinking about the pain. I love my work, I love what I do for a living, and I love couples who give me their trust to capture their day.
So how did I start taking photos?
I started photographing back in Poland in the early 80’s. That was black and white 35mm film all developed from start to finish by myself in the darkroom. In ’90, I started experimenting with color negatives but my college education in the IT field took priority. The opportunity to rediscover photography came when I arrived in the U.S. in 1996.
In 2009, my family and I finally settled in CT, and I decided to pursue my dream career as a Professional Photographer.
I took Fine Art classes at Northwestern CT Community College and got my Photography Certification in summer of 2011. I joined PPA Professional Photographers of America and CTPPA Connecticut Professional Photographers Associations, and I won Awards for photographs I created within associations and Juried Shows.
In 2015 the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA) , Artistic Guild of Wedding Photojournalist Association (AG|WPJA) and International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers (ISPWP) accepted my application based on my portfolio review and I am a proud active member of these professional associations.
